CLS Friends

The Center for Leadership Studies attracts some of the best and brightest students in the School of Management and across the Binghamton University campus. Additionally, we are fortunate to have the involvement of several leadership practitioners as well, ones who enrich the experiences of our students and program participants.

The CLS gratefully acknowledges the contributions of these CLS Friends over the last several years. They have provided their time, advice and skills selflessly, and in doing so, several of our students have personally benefited from their experiences and interactions with these Friends.

Southern Tier Leadership Academy
For more than 10 years the CLS has partnered with local school districts under the coordination of Broome-Tioga BOCES to administer the Southern Tier Leadership Academy. Designed to stimulate interest and development of educational leadership within the local area, the Academy has graduated more than 75 local educators through this year-long program which includes assessment, development, mentoring and personalized leadership development plans. Teachers in K-12 are identified and nominated by local superintendents and school administrators as “high potential teachers” with excellent leadership potential.

For more information about this program, please visit the Southern Tier Leadership Academy website.
