Using these tags makes it easy to create simple Web Pages. Most of the tags take the form: <TagName>…</TagName>. The text (represented by …) between the tags will have that attribute. Be careful to only include the text you want between the tags.
Appropriate use of these tags makes it easier to view your Web Pages. What does this mean? Don't overuse them! They are designed to help emphasize your content and overuse diminishes their impact. Too many elements can clutter the page and be distracting rather than informative.
Be consistent! Limit yourself to a couple of heading sizes. Major headings should be one size (usually larger), while minor headings should be another (usually slightly smaller). Paragraphs should all be left aligned or justify aligned. Don't mix and match them. Use bold, italics, and underlining sparingly. Use them to draw attention to important points. Most importantly, BE YOUR OWN BEST JUDGE! If it doesn't look good to you, then it probably doesn't look good to others.
