Setting Up Pages to Print

Often you find a page with a dark background and light colored text. Internet Explorer will print it this way without any changes, but you can turn off this option. Firefox, however, provides more control over how the page prints.

Firefox

By default, Firefox doesn't print the background, but does print the text as defined. To force Firefox to print the background:

  1. Click File
  2. Click Page Setup
  3. Click the Print Background (colors & images) check box (make sure check appears in box)
  4. Click OK
In Firefox‚ click Margins & Header/Footer tab to adjust other settings. Click the drop–down menus to select options. You can also create custom text‚ which can be combined with Firefox’s Header/Footer codes. To learn the codes:
  1. Click Help
  2. Click Help Contents
  3. Search for header footer
  4. Click Printing a web page
  5. Click Margins and Header/ Footer
